The current complex geopolitical environment has exposed many businesses to trading risk, especially in defaulting risk. Poor payment behavior ,a lack of information about the business or payment performance of customers, and economic and political risks have led to a reduction in the proportion of B2B sales in the Asia Pacific region being made on credit terms. In view of the fluctuating economic situation, global companies are facing more challenges in international trade, especially the risk of increasing bad debts. It is important for companies to have good credit management control in order to reduce credit risk regardless of where they are doing business.

Asia Pacific region is still an attractive area for foreign investmentors. China is reforming its investment environment to attract foreign investments, meanwhile, as of the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese outbound investments into Asia Pacific region have also been growing, which accounted about 25% of Chinese all outbound investments in 2017. However, differences due to different understanding of business rules such as corporation, environment protection, labor, tax, culture, etc. can lead to potential risks.

In this seminar, We would be introducing the implementation of effective credit risk control measures at every stage of the sales process so as to prevent bad debts. We also share the proper ways to deal with bad debts in order to minimize loss.

  • Global Insolvency environments and projections
  • The recovery market in the Asia Pacific region
  • Main reasons for payment delays by foreign B2B customers
  • How to handle delayed payment differently in China/APAC and the Rest of the world
  • Global Payment Practices Barometer
  • Case sharing
