Event Details

Expatriate leaders working in a multicultural setting with colleagues from a variety of nations are no strangers to challenge.

This training event is designed to help expatriates increase awareness of their own cultural values and familiarize themselves with the Chinese social system, cultural patterns, communication styles, and management approaches. Participants will also be asked to take the Worldpass Assessment, a cultural assessment tool that will help them understand their own cultural profile, and compare it with a typical Chinese profile. The aim is to identify differences between two cultures in terms of relationships with others, relationships to business, and relationships to time. Also, participants will be able to better understand how to bridge and reconcile the differences between their culture and Chinese culture.

Why you need this training: You will get an assessment to better understand your own cultural values compared with those common in China, helping to anchor your experience of working in a multi-cultural environment. You will also acquire the tools to create a more productive and satisfying working relationship with your Chinese colleagues.

If you are a foreign expatriate who would like to better understand how Chinese culture is influencing your work, this course is for you.

This course will be conducted in English.
