Alex Scilla and Daniel D’urso, co-chairs of AmCham Tianjin Environmental and Sustainability Committee, will come and speak at this month’s breakfast briefing.
Together, Al and Dan represent 25 years of in-country China experience. For the last decade, they have been active in the recycling industry and sustainable agriculture, each individually founding companies in those industries. In recent years they’ve established TJenvironcom, as well as Zhongyi-FFP Environmental Services, a comprehensive provider of green solutions.
New laws have been released regarding waste separation, the pollutant tax system, and extended producer responsibility (EPR). This month's briefing will cover the content and expected implementation of these 3 upcoming environmental laws, as well as their ramifications. Following that, a discussion of strategies on how to operate under these new policies, and details on how and when Tianjin will specifically be affected.
As always, AmCham’s breakfast series is an opportunity for members to become more involved in the Tianjin business community while also enjoying timely and informative presentations in a relaxed environment. This is sure to be an informative and worthwhile event, and we hope to see you there!
