35% of all China’s daily mobile time is being spent on WeChat. As the world’s fastest growing social media platform, and the primary link between brands and consumers, WeChat continues to develop into a marketing powerhouse with 938 million active users today. Consumers spent a massive US$1.2 trillion through WeChat in 2016 and all trends show that WeChat Pay will soon become the #1 mobile payment channel in China. So what does Wechat really mean for international cooperation in 2017 and 2018?

    Ms. Ma is a senior marketing and communication professional with 15-years of solid experience in both agency & in-house positions across all marketing communications functions in various industries, specializing in strategic marketing & communication, stakeholder engagement, digital communication and CSR. Aside from her expertise in communication, Ms. Ma has been actively involved in training programs for reputable companies such as Lenovo, Nokia, Oracle, Samsung, Symantec and Tencent, among others. Her trainings have been commented by the trainees to be very useful and impressive with clear logic and vivid samples, and her articulation is interactive and humorous, never “boring”.

     Prior to joining RFI in July 2016, Ms. Ma was the practice lead for the Technology Practice of Edelman China since 2014.  Prior to re-joining Edelman, Ms. Ma was the Marketing Head for King & Wood Mallesons, one of the world’s leading law firms. During her tenure, she was in charge of the firm’s overall business development, marketing communications, e-marketing & client insight functions. Prior to this position, she held the roles as the Marketing Manager for British Standards Institution Greater China region and Marketing Manager for Motorola’s Enterprise Mobility business Greater China region. In both companies, she was accountable for the organization’s overall marketing communication & BD strategy and implementation including branding, PR & corporate communication, product marketing, e-marketing, channel marketing, tele-marketing. She was also involved in sales operation on a daily basis.
     
    Ms. Ma started her communication career with the Technology Practice in Weber Shandwick China in 2000. Years later, she joined Edelman as the Account Manager, responsible for monitoring accounts for several world leading IT organizations. Moreover, she has grounded experiences in serving clients beyond the IT sector such as the healthcare, corporate and consumer industry clients. Her professional approach and deep understanding about the industry has enriched the IT practice, leading to continuous successes throughout the year.

    Ms. Ma holds a bachelor’s degree of English from Beijing Foreign Studies University.

    Senior Product Marketing Manager at Tencent Social Ads

    Anson is in charge of leading the marketing and communication strategy and operation for the advertising technology and data products of Tencent Social Ads.

    Prior to joining Tencent, Anson was the Regional Sales and Account Director in two marketing and advertising technology companies with the 1st hand experience in contributing to the companies’ growth from Round A to Round D, leading the team to provide marketing technology solutions to MNCs like Mead Johnson, Huawei, Dongfeng Nissan, Danone, China Mobile, etc. Prior to that, Anson was also one of the first social media managers in Procter & Gamble when P&G started to embrace the social media marketing efforts in 2011. Anson is also the founder and curator of TEDxZhujiang New Town in Guangzhou.

    安扬先生的职业生涯始于宝洁公司,从事品牌公关以及社交媒体运营管理工作,他也是宝洁公司转型尝试社会化营销时期的第一批社交媒体运营经理。安先生之后还任职于两家广告技术公司,历经了公司从A轮到D轮的成长,负责管理其华南区大客户销售,与美赞臣、东风日产、华为、达能、中国移动等不同类型的客户的营销、数字营销部门密切配合,推动营销技术与数据在企业营销决策当中的使用。安先生常戏称自己为“一个甲方乙方丙方、市场公关销售都做过的营销人”。安扬先生也是TEDx珠江新城的发起人与策展人。

Terms and Conditions

Attending an Event
Events have limited seating, so to ensure your attendance we encourage advance online registration and payment for ALL events. We cannot guarantee entry to anyone not registered in advance. Most of our events are in English and off the record, but please check the webpage for each event to avoid disappointment.

Advance Tickets and Discounts 
Members can receive a discount by purchasing an advance ticket at least 24 hours before the day of the event. You must pay online at the time of registering for the event to be eligible for a discount. Discounts will not be available to members at the door.

Receipts (fapiao) 
You can receive your fapiao when you arrive for an event provided that you buy an advance ticket and pay online at least 1 working day before the event and you provide the correct information for your fapiao at that time. You can leave details of the type of fapiao you need on the registration and payment page.

Event attendees can request a fapiao at the door or up to two months after the event. Requests made after that time will not be accommodated. Please contact the AmCham China staff member responsible for organizing your event.

Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than one business day prior to the event. If you fail to notify AmCham China of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will forfeit the fee you have already paid.

To cancel you can: 1) cancel directly online through the EventBank platform on which you registered or 2) contact the AmCham China staff member responsible for organizing your event.
