China has recently promulgated a number of laws and regulations related to cyber security and data protection, covering various aspects such as cyber security, important data, personal information protection and cross-border data transfer, etc., which will have a profound impact on the companies' operation and management, internal structure, investment and financing, and IPO, etc.
We are honored to invite Dr. Zuo Xiaodong, current Vice President of China Information Security Research Institute, to give an authoritative interpretation in the Seminar. Dr. Zuo has been working in the national cyber security coordination department for a long time and is the core expert in drafting a series of major cyber security policies and regulations. He holds several academic roles, including but not limited to a member of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council's "Cyberspace Security" Discipline Review Group, a member of the Expert Working Group on National Digital Trade, and a member of the Expert Advisory Committee on Cyber Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In recent years, Dr. Zuo has been engaged in data security policy studies and participated in the drafting of the Regulations on Network Data Security Management (Draft for Comments).
The Seminar also invited the Data Compliance Team of Fangda Partners, which is ranked No. 1 by the well-known rating agency Legal 500, to share their insight on China's recent data legislation from practical perspective and volunteer thoughtful ideas for data compliance of domestic and foreign companies, taking into account current status and trends of industry compliance after Personal Information Protection Law and Data Security Law came into effect.
