Proud Chicagoan and graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Marco Reyes, has been based in Beijing since 2009. At 21, after a semester of study in Haidian, he soon after co-founded YMCE Group, which has grown from a modest summer camp placement agency for Chinese students to the U.S., to a giant in the camping industry in both China & the world. He and his team are responsible for the modernization of the summer camp industry in China and stand as the industry leader in the market. Now twice venture capital backed with four satellite offices and a growing headcount, YMCE is known for summer & holiday camps, ski/snowboard camps, experiential education for schools, outdoor education, global study tours, corporate team building, sport, international brand partnerships, consulting for a growing “camp education” market, and most recently investment brokering in the U.S. and Canadian camp industries.

As for volunteer duties, Marco serves as current President of the University of Illinois Alumni Club of Beijing, Treasurer of the International Camping Fellowship, is a founding member of the China Camp Education Association, co-chair of the American Chamber of Commerce SME & Entrepreneurs Committee, and is a long time member of the American Camp Association.
He currently lives in Beijing with his wife Bibiana & two year old son, Emilio.
