Event Summary

On July 4, 2025, the latest US tax reform act signed by President Trump officially came into effect. Spanning nearly a thousand pages, the legislation appears to offer broad-based tax relief, yet it functions more like a surgical instrumentโ€”precisely reshaping the distribution of wealth in the US. Meanwhile, the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) continues to evolve, with tax information exchange expanding in both scope and intensity across jurisdictions. As a result, multinational enterprises and high-net-worth individuals face unprecedented challenges and opportunities in global asset allocation and tax compliance.

AmCham China Southwest Chapter, in collaboration with Eric Zhang & Associates LLP and China Minsheng Bank Private Banking, welcomes you to join the sharing session in the afternoon of July 18 at China Minsheng Bank Chengdu Private Banking Center. This seminar will provide a comprehensive analysis of the new US tax reforms and CRS developments, supplemented with real-world case studies. We will explore strategies for corporate structuring, residency and identity planning for HNWIs, and effective responses to asset transparency requirementsโ€”helping participants navigate an increasingly complex international tax landscape with confidence and foresight.
