Most cities in China has a famous food street like Hubuxiang, while in Wuhan, there is a unique old street called 'Tanhualin', which stretches 1.2 kilometers from Zhongshan Road in the east to Desheng Bridge in the west, and it has witnessed over 1700 years history. This old street, as the epitome of the modern culture of Wuhan, stands buildings of different architectural styles and is a good example of the integration of Chinese and Western culture. Therefore, someone said, the old times of Wuhan can be observed within a single glance only if you go to Tanhualin.
In this golden autumn with cool breeze, together with China Engaged Culture Protectors (CECP), AmCham Central China Chapter will hold "Historical Highlights Walking Tour" on October 12th, Saturday morning. We will take you on a tour of several typical American architectures in Tanhualin, starting from James Jackson Museum to Qinglongxiang, with interpreter for walking.
