The first 2017 ECP Eminent Speakers Series will be held on June 6 at the AmCham China Offices.

We are honored to have Dr. Douglas Cameron, Senior Managing Director of the U.S.-China Green Fund as the distinguished speaker to share his experience in both investing in and developing green and environmental technology, as well as lessons learned from cross-border case studies. Meanwhile, ECP and the co-chair of ECP/Green Financing Working Group, U.S.-China Green Fund, would like to use this great networking opportunity to invite you to share your experiences and insight in promoting green investments, advocacy, and collaboration.

    Douglas Cameron

    Senior Managing Director of U.S.-China Green Fund

    Dr. Douglas Cameron is a Senior Managing Director of the U.S.-China Green Fund. In 2011 he was a co-founder of First Green Partners, an investment firm focused on companies with sustainable technologies for renewable and fossil carbon. Previously, he was a managing director and chief scientific officer at Khosla Ventures, and a managing director in the cleantech investment banking group at Piper Jaffray. Before becoming an investor, Dr. Cameron was director of biotechnology and chief scientist at Cargill, Inc. and a professor of chemical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His corporate board experience includes Gevo, LS9, Segetis, Lanzatech, Mascoma, Sirrus Chemistry, Renmatix, Monolith Materials, Trelys, and Rivertop Renewables. He is on the board of the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR), a non-profit foundation based in Washington, D.C. and on the advisory board of the AgTech Accelerator at the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. Dr. Cameron holds at B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a Ph.D. in biochemical engineering from MIT.
