The United States Embassy in Beijing is third largest in the world. Situated on a 10-acre site, the Embassy consists of 6 buildings, including a new annex completed in 2016, and houses more than 2,300 American and locally hired staff representing almost 50 different federal agencies. The size and the scope of the U.S. Mission in China reflect both the importance of the US-China bilateral relationship and the range of topics in which the two countries are currently engaged.
To give our members important insights into the workings of the US Embassy, and how the US Embassy can support us in our professional and personal lives, AmCham China is launching a quarterly series featuring embassy staff from various sections that work on issues directly impacting AmCham and our members. This event will feautre representatives from the Consular Affairs Section of the US Embassy and discussion will focus on the following topics:
