Make your lunch productive by joining 12-15 motivated young professionals from within the AmCham community to share resources and best practices for success and career development. Young professionals interested in expanding their network, becoming more involved with AmCham, and getting to know their peers in the community are encouraged to register for this informal discussion.

The Young professionals committee is kicking off the 2017 YP Lunch with a special guest - Sarah Kemp, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. Sarah is an experienced international business professional with demonstrated achievement in business development, strategy alignment, advocacy, and public policy. She will share her professional experiences and offer advice for young professionals living and working in China.

A light lunch will be provided.

    Minister Counselor, Foreign Commercial Service at U.S. Embassy Beijing

    Sarah Kemp is Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, overseeing the U.S. Department of Commerce’s trade promotion and trade policy activities in its operations in Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenyang and Wuhan. Prior to her posting to Beijing, Ms. Kemp was Commercial Counselor for the U.S. Commercial Service in Vietnam, Deputy Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, Deputy Chief Commercial Consul for the U.S. Commercial Service’s operations in Hong Kong where she oversaw the Macau portfolio. Prior to Hong Kong, Ms. Kemp led the Beijing Information Technologies and Medical team for the Commercial Service. Her first overseas assignment was in Bangkok, Thailand. Sarah received her Master of Business Administration degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, her Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Anthropology from Hamilton College.

Attending an Event
Due to limited space and high demand, registration for this event requires approval from the event coordinator. Priority will be given to AmCham China members and employees of member companies. 

Advance Tickets and Discounts
Members can receive a discount by purchasing an advance ticket at least 24 hours before the day of the event. You must pay online at the time of registering for the event to be eligible for a discount.
Discounts will not be available to members at the door.

Receipts (fapiao)
You can receive your fapiao when you arrive for an event provided that you buy an advance ticket and pay online at least 1 working day before the event and you provide the correct information for your fapiao at that time. You can leave details of the type of fapiao you need as well as the fapiao title on the registration and payment page.
 
Event attendees can request a fapiao at the door or up to two months after the event. Requests made after that time will not be accommodated. Please contact the AmCham China staff member responsible for organizing your event.
 
Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than one business day prior to the event. If you fail to notify AmCham China of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will forfeit the fee you have already paid.

To cancel you can: 1) cancel directly online through the Eventbank platform on which you registered or 2) contact the AmCham China staff member responsible for organizing your event.
