AmCham China is delighted to invite members to a briefing on the upcoming B20 Summit by Yu Ping, B20 China Sherpa and former Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), together with Sun Xiao, Policy Director of B20 China, and Chang Yun, Assistant to Sherpa and Deputy Director of B20 China Policy Team.
Yu Ping will give a general introduction on B20, the objectives that China plans to achieve in the B20 Summit, and how AmCham China members can participate and contribute in B20. Sun Xiao and Chang Yun will introduce the work of each taskforce, including Financing Growth Taskforce, Trade and Investment Taskforce, Infrastructure Taskforce, SME Development Taskforce, and Employment Taskforce. Jianbo LI, Chair of AmCham China's Financial Services Forum and Executive Director of JP Morgan, will moderate the event.
The Business 20 (B20) is an influential platform whose purpose is to promote continuous dialogue and exchange between G20 leaders, the business and industry community and relevant international organizations and institutions so as to ensure that business and industry communities’ opinion is well embodied in the G20 leadership’s decision-making and policy implementation. In 2016, the G20 Summit will be held in Hangzhou, China from September 4th to 5th, and CCPIT has been entrusted by the Chinese government to lead the preparation for B20.
