All of us live and work in Tianjin are faced with the issues of air pollution and smog more often than we would like to admit or think about. Most of us are healthy enough and may not be dealing with chronic medical conditions affecting our hearts or lungs, but we know we are affected by this monster in one way or another though we may not see its effect right away. We are worried about the health and safety of our loved ones, especially our own children who are growing up in the environment of poor air quality. Dr. David Park, who is a family physician with 20 years of experience from the US, has lived in China for 2 years, now working in Tianjin United Family Hospital. Based on his experiences of living and working in Beijing and Tianjin, as well as the recent research findings, he would like to share his thoughts and recommendations and shed some light on the important but difficult-to-deal-with topic of air pollution in China as it affects us and our families.
