Yunnan, known for its rich biodiversity and unique agricultural landscape, plays a vital role in China's rural economy. As a globally significant coffee production region, Pu'er has emerged as a hub for innovation in sustainable farming. However, like many rural areas, it faces challenges such as climate change, resource management, and the need to balance traditional practices with modern agricultural demands.
AmCham China is planning a two-day public event in Pu'er, Yunnan, focused on "Sustainable Agriculture and the Contributions of US Enterprises." The event will explore the crucial role of American enterprises in supporting sustainable agricultural practices in China, particularly in rural areas, by sharing experiences and fostering collaboration.
On Day 1, the program will begin with a visit to a coffee research base, where participants will learn about coffee cultivation and its integration with sustainable agricultural methods. This will be followed by feature presentations from leading companies and organizations addressing key themes like agricultural technology, environmental stewardship, and collaborative partnerships with farmers.
Day 2 offers an immersive experience in sustainable agriculture at a local coffee farm, allowing participants to explore farming practices and gain insights into sustainable cultivation methods.
Don't miss this opportunity to connect with thought leaders, explore innovative agricultural practices, and experience the blend of tradition and innovation in one of China's most dynamic regions.
