AmCham China cordially invites you to join our Business & Investment Outreach (BIO) trip to Guangzhou, which will be held on October 19-21. AmCham China’s President Mark Duval will lead the delegation.
Guangzhou, also known as Canton, is the capital and a political, economic, and cultural center of Guangdong Province. It is located in the southeast of Guangdong Province and in the north of the Pearl River Delta. As the birthplace of Maritime Silk Road in China, Guangzhou has always been an important national transportation hub and trading port. In 2014, Guangzhou was honored the best mainland commercial city by Forbes China for the fourth time.
During the three-day trip, Guangzhou municipal leaders will meet with the AmCham China delegation and present on Guangzhou’s latest investment climate and policies. The delegation will also have the opportunity to visit the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone—Nansha Area of Guangzhou. This will be a fantastic trip for members to explore and learn about Guangzhou first-hand.
Preliminary Program:
October 19 (Monday):
• Arrive in Guangzhou
October 20 (Tuesday):
• Meet with Guangzhou municipal government leaders
• Visit the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone—Nansha Area of Guangzhou
• Cocktail event with US Consulate Guangzhou
October 21 (Wednesday):
• Visit the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City
Registration Fee:
Cardholding members: RMB 2000
Non-cardholding employees of member companies: RMB 2500
Please note that no other fees are required to be paid to AmCham China except the registration charge. AmCham China will help book the hotel, but you will be responsible for transportation to Guangzhou and the local room rate. Local transportation and meals will be covered by the local organizer.
Please kindly make the payment at least 2 working days before the trip (October 14) to secure your seat. Fifty percent of the payment will be deducted if the cancellation notice is made after 12pm on October 19.
