AmCham China's IPR Forum and the Japan Chamber of Commerce's IP Group would like to invite you to an intimate seminar on China's draft service invention regulations. IP experts from industry and law will discuss the impact of said regulations could have on the operations of multinational companies currently, and into the future. This event will be conducted in English and Japanese with consecutive translation.

    Akihiko Kusano

    Manager, Intellectual Property China Center at Konica Minolta (China) Investment Ltd. Beijing Branch

    In April 1992, Mr. Kusano joined Konica Corporation and was assigned to the Patent Department. Since then, including the period after the company merged with MINOLTA in 2003 (to form KONICA MINOLTA), Mr. Kusano has been engaged in intellectual-property related works at the Intellectual Property Center.
    In 2013, Mr. Kusano was transferred to the Intellectual Property China Center and then has been mainly involved in providing local development subsidiaries in China with intellectual-property support services.

    Yan Li

    Attorney, Intellectual Property Department at Caterpillar (China) Investment Co., Ltd.

    Ms. Li holds a bachelor degree of Mechanical Engineering and a law degree from Law School of Peking University. In 1999 and 2002, Ms. Li successively passed the China Bar examination and patent agent examination.

    From July 2000 through July 2006, she was an IP lawyer responsible for a certain BU’s IP issues, focusing on patent landscape analysis and its corresponding patent strategy planning and execution. Ms. Li was also the leading IP lawyer to participate in ZTE’s IP license transactions with respective multi-national companies regarding 2G and 3G wireless technologies.
    Currently, Ms. Li is responsible for IP related work for Caterpillar M&A activities in Asia Pacific. She also works on internal IP infrastructure and strategic policies in compliance with regional laws and regulations.
