Event Details

The third event of our series on reforms in China will focus on the state-owned sector. SOE reform has long been a challenging and complex issue with vested interests, bureaucracy, and differences in opinion all playing an important part in the evolution of this important policy. Nevertheless, reform to China’s SOEs could be a powerful tool in the ongoing anti-corruption campaign and to China’s own private enterprises.

This event presents a timely opportunity to dive deeper into what has been announced, what has been piloted to date, and what should be expected in the coming years. The event will conclude with a surprise performance from the moderator, Andrew Dougherty.
