China’s consumer protection culture and landscape is challenging companies’ marketing and customer service strategies. Foreign products sell in China because of their reputation for quality, and so reputation management is paramount to business success. Consistently defending products from product liability and quality claims is one of the key goals of foreign companies selling consumer goods in China. In order to do this, foreign companies must understand and successfully manage these challenges.
