Recently, underpayment of import taxes related to royalties has been a focus during Customs routine supervision. A number of companies have been audited or inspected by local customs in the past few years. The amount of import taxes underpaid on royalty is generally huge, and can result in late payment surcharges or even penalties. This is an issue that can significantly impact a company. Moreover, as royalty and transfer pricing are closely related, it's important to analyze both.

In order to keep the companies updated with the relevant policies, AmCham China is hosting a seminar to discuss customs royalty and transfer pricing. We invite KPMG professionals to share their experiences and insights on the following topics:

1. Laws and regulations related to royalty issue from customs perspective

2. Key consideration from the perspective of customs administration

3. Case studies

4. Interaction between royalty and transfer pricing

5. Common issues and strategies in handling the customs challenges
Since the royalty issue impacts the company significantly, we suggest that management of company attend this seminar and discuss the topics with the speakers thoroughly.

Note: This event will be held in Chinese.
