China's economic outlook is in flux. Growth is slightly down, but annual salary increases are expected to have the slowest growth in a decade. Companies will need to match their human resources (HR) strategies to the larger economic forces at play to make the most of opportunities in the coming year.

To explore the issues that affect HR, AmCham China is bringing together its Small Business and HR committees, economists, business owners, and HR experts to look at the trends, challenges, and best practices of managing human capital.
The event will kick off with The Economist Group's Dr. Liu Qian giving a keynote address on the impact of macroeconomics on human capital. Next, HR leaders from IBM and Hilton will share their insights and answer questions from the audience. And to close out the night, a panel of small business owners and HR experts will present their ideas for how small businesses can approach recruitment and retention issues in the new year.
