Managing Fraud and Corruption Risks Series: Where Due Diligence Fails - Lessons from Madoff to China
Join AmCham China for a luncheon event with Jim Mintz, founder and president of Mintz Group. As the first installment of part two of AmCham's on-going Fraud and Corruption Risks Series, Mintz will be offering his unique insights on the entire due diligence industry.
Mintz has spent more than 30 years conducting investigations all over the world, primarily for law firms and general counsel. He helped pioneer the use of sophisticated resources by law firms in the 1970s as an in-house investigator at the Washington, DC law firm of Wald, Harkrader & Ross. In 1984, Mintz co-founded The Investigative Group, Inc. (IGI), serving as its president and co-owner for a decade. In 1994, he founded the James Mintz Group. He is also a founding member and director of the International Association of Independent Private Sector Inspectors General, and served as one of the first IPSIGs when the New York State Organized Crime Task Force selected his firm to monitor a financial-services company.
