AmCham China's Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations (MAP) Forum and Weber Shandwick co-host this M2M Series event on seizing opportunities surrounding employee activism.

In the digital and social media era, employee activists draw visibility to their workplace, defend their employers from criticism and act as advocates, both online and off. As the movement grows at an increasing speed, employers have an enormous opportunity to engage and capitalize on these powerful advocates, or risk missing out on an important group of supporters and, at worst, fail to curtail detractors who have the potential to upend company reputations.

During this meeting, Dr. Leslie Gaines Ross, the chief reputation strategist at Weber Shandwick and Micho Spring the chair of Global Corporate Practice at Weber Shandwick will discuss why employees are increasingly the key prism for brand credibility and trust in an era of alarming lack of trust in all institutions.

SPEAKER:
Micho Spring, who leads the firm's Global Corporate Practice, as well as the New England region for Weber Shandwick. Her practice focuses on enabling corporate clients to use communications to support their business strategies, enhance and protect their reputation, and respond to public policy challenges. Micho's experience includes six years as CEO of Boston Telecommunications Company and four years as Deputy Mayor of Boston.
Leslie Gaines-Ross, Weber Shandwick's chief reputation strategist is the architect of groundbreaking, award-winning research into CEO and corporate reputation, CEO transitions, corporate rankings, online reputation, executive visibility, thought leadership, and reputation sustainability and recovery.
