Debriefing and Discussion on the Enforcement of the Revised Consumer Rights Protection Law
Two months ago, China's Consumer Rights Protection Law was revised for the first time since it was first promulgated 20 years ago. The revised law improves the mechanism that protects consumer rights, raising the standards for business activities, making it a critical piece of regulation for the business sector, both foreign and domestic.
In order to better understand the newly revised law, as well as the implementation rules, AmCham China is pleased to present an informative event featuring legal experts from the China Consumers' Association and the China University of Political Science and Law, to debrief AmCham China members on the revised law, its implementation rules, and some of the biggest disputes since the enforcement of the law began. These experts are part of the law revision process and are the relevant authorities handling disputes and issues in relation to the law.
AmCham China would like to give special thanks to the Food & Beverage Forum leadership, Coca-Cola, Starbucks and Mondelez, for leading the efforts inviting the speakers.
Please note: This event will be conducted in Chinese. Please provide any questions regarding the enforcement of the law to Sujing Wang (sjwang@amchamchina.org) by close of business, Thursday, May 15 to better facilitate the Q&A session.
