Join AmCham China for an exclusive event with Mark Kennedy, director and professor of Political Management at the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University. Kennedy will present "The Path Forward for Trade", which outlines the potential for renewed trade liberalization to reignite economic momentum and spark growth. In this discussion, Kennedy will analyze the rays of hope for expanded trade like the World Trade Organization's successful Bali Ministerial that he attended, the prospects for advancing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
He will also explore the ominous clouds threatening progress, such as the difficult hurdle of passing the Trade Promotion Authority in the US Congress, the upcoming European Union elections and the potential for rivalry between TPP and RCEP in Asia. Kennedy will conclude by outlining a path to a brighter, more secure future resulting from more robust trade among nations.
