The Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT), held in Beijing on December 19-20 ended a busy December in bilateral meetings and discussions between the US and China. The talks marked the first round of JCCT discussions for the three principals, US Trade Representative Michael Froman, US Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker, and Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, as well as for some of their primary staff members. Still, the two governments have maintained a high level of interaction on the JCCT throughout the course of 2013, and ultimately made progress in a number of areas of concern to American companies—particularly in the field of intellectual property rights (IPR).
The AmCham China and US-China Business Council are pleased to co-host a debriefing with officials from the US Embassy in Beijing who will have participated in this year's JCCT negotiations.

Participating Embassy officials include senior officials from the US Trade Representative, Department of Commerce, Department of Agriculture, and Department of State.
