As a pilot province of the national comprehensive medical reform, Sichuan focuses on addressing the core medical needs of the people and comprehensively promotes healthcare reform, including public medical services, medical insurance, drug supply, and regulatory system. The release and implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) Health Service and System and Healthcare Security Plan made by the Sichuan provincial government further provide a clear direction for the development of public health and healthcare security in Sichuan. In recent years, the improvement in public health of urban and rural residents in Sichuan Province has been continuously made, health equity has been significantly improved, and the accessibility of medical services has been significantly enhanced.
The member companies of AmCham China have always attached great importance to the development of the healthcare industry in Sichuan and strongly supported the reform of medical insurance and the development of medical institutions. We believe that the experience sharing between enterprises and policymakers can provide necessary references for policy adjustments and better meet the actual clinical needs of patients in the future. And AmCham China is pleased to announce that we will lead a delegation visit to Sichuan in July 2023.
