Policy Readout of 2026 Two Sessions and "15th Five-Year Plan"

2026 marks the inaugural year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan period, a crucial new chapter in the country's journey toward socialist modernization. This event will focus on the core outcomes of this year's "Two Sessions" in Beijing, offering an in-depth interpretation of the newly released "Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development".

As China's master blueprint for the next five years, the 15th Five-Year Plan specifies key quantitative targets for growth, technological innovation, and green transition, while also outlining a new paradigm for industrial upgrading and regional coordination. For foreign enterprises in China, understanding this top-level design is essential: it signals the direction of market access expansion, highlights emerging investment hotspots, and reveals collaborative opportunities in sustainability. Commitments within the plan to high-standard opening-up and a better business environment will create broader prospects for foreign companies to deeply engage in China's high-quality development.
