Following last year's successful visit to Washington DC, AmCham China will again embark on our annual trip to meet with administration and congressional officials, policymakers, and think tanks to exchange views on US-China trade relations. The trip will also coincide with the China Business Conference, co-hosted by AmCham China and the US Chamber of Commerce.
As the US administration advances its policy agenda in Washington, China will remain a central focus of debate across Congress, federal agencies, and the broader policy community. 2026 will be a pivotal year for multinational companies with significant stakes in both the US and China markets to ensure their perspectives are clearly understood by US policymakers.
AmCham China's annual DC Doorknock provides a structured and high-level platform for member engagement. Participants work together to refine key messages, contribute to strategic positioning, and represent the voice of our member companies in meetings with US government stakeholders.
In 2025, AmCham China met with members of Congress, administration officials, and leading think tanks in Washington. The delegation also participated in the two-day China Business Conference (see agenda here), engaging with senior policymakers and business leaders. Recaps of last year's program are available on our website and WeChat.
In 2026, AmCham China will once again convene a delegation of experienced Chamber leaders to engage with members of Congress, administration officials, and the DC-based policy community. Delegates will be entrusted to communicate the Chamber's priorities with clarity, credibility, and consistency. Participants should expect to dedicate approximately two hours per week to preparation calls and message development in the lead-up to the visit. Final approval of all delegation applications rests with the Chairman.
