[Introduction]
Does your company often run into similar problems? Are you always occupied with firefighting? Do you want to solve problems more efficiently? Lean Six Sigma DMAIC is such an efficient problem-solving methodology. It provides a structured problem-solving path of "Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control" and practical tools in each phase to achieve product quality improvement, process efficiency optimization, and operation cost reduction. Therefore, Lean Six Sigma has been widely applied in most industries and its certification is one of the most popular ones in the workplace.
Data analysis is essential to problem-solving. However, due to the complex data analysis knowledge system, it is difficult to master in 1 day; therefore, standard Yellow Belt training often excludes this part. However, this Yellow Belt training empowered data analysis with AI tools, making it effortless to use, while keeping its original strength: comprehensive and practical.
The upgraded AI+ Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training includes:
- Introduction to the basics of Lean Six Sigma
- The fundamental logic of Six Sigma DMAIC methodology and the tools in each phase that is required at yellow belt level
- AI empowered data analysis
- A real case problem-solving group exercise throughout the training
After full participation, all participants will receive a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification issued by an ASQ (American Society of Quality) certified Master Black Belt.
[Target Audience]
Professionals in all industries who is interested in effective problem-solving, especially those who work with process optimization and quality improvement.
[Teaching Method]
Lectures, case studies, breakout sessions, student exercises
[Objective]
Through this course, participants will gain:
- Mindset change: participants will start to form a systematic, scientific and logical problem-solving mindset
- Skillset upgrade: participants will understand the Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools, including AI-enabled data analysis tools
- Problem-solving: participants will be able to apply the methodology and tools to solve real problems in life or at work
- Certification: participants will receive a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification issued by an ASQ-certified Master Black Belt
[Outline]
- Introduction to Lean Six Sigma
In this section, you will learn about the background and basics of Lean Six Sigma
- DMAIC – Define phase
In the Define phase, you need to answer the question – what is the problem exactly? To answer this question, you will learn about how to create a Project Charter, how to create a SIPOC, and how to generate CTQ through real case group exercises.
- DMAIC – Measure phase
In the Measure phase, you need to answer the question – how big is the problem currently? To answer this question, you will learn about output measurable identification, Operational Definition, Measurement System Analysis, Basic Statistics, Process Capability, Performance Visualization through real case group exercises.
- DMAIC – Analyze phase
In the Analyze phase, you need to answer the question – what are the root causes of the problem? To answer this question, you will learn about the roadmap of root cause verification, how to identify potential causes with Cause-effect Diagram (Fishbone) and "5 why", how to verify root causes through process analysis tools such as Spaghetti Diagram and Swim-lane Diagram, as well as through data analysis using AI tools.
- DMAIC – Improve phase
In the Improve phase, you need to answer the question – what are the best solutions to the problem? To answer this question, you will learn about how to generate potential solutions with standard Lean tools and multiple Brainstorming tools, how to select solutions and how to implement solutions through real case group exercises.
- DMAIC – Control phase
In the Control phase, you need to answer the question: how to keep the improvement sustainable? To answer this question, you will learn about Documentation, Control Charts and Reaction Plan.
